Supporting Families in Need

The holidays are approaching quickly and there are thousands of families in need. But there are ways we can all help. Currently, Denver Rescue Mission is collecting frozen turkeys to help provide a Thanksgiving meal to hurting families, and we need your help!

We need to collect 18,000 turkeys by Friday, Nov. 16 and we have about 500 in our freezers.

Ways to help:
1. Drop off frozen turkeys weighing 12 pounds or more at the Lawrence Street Shelter (SE corner of Park Avenue West and Lawrence Street) 7am to 7pm

2. Donate money toward a turkey at http://www.DenverRescueMission.org/donate

3. Additional items needed for Thanksgiving meals include: canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned pumpkin, canned cranberries, canned yams, boxed stuffing, and instant mashed potatoes

This is a great opportunity to take the whole family shopping for families in need. Thank you for doing what you can!
